Foster’s Supermarket would like to announce that the Unilever United States is voluntarily recalling a limited quantity of Lipton, Knorr, and LeGoût chicken products that contain chicken from a supplier, which issued a recall on its poultry for potential contamination with Listeria monocytogenes.

Listeria monocytogenes is an organism which can cause serious and sometimes fatal infections in young children, frail or elderly people, and others with weakened immune systems. Healthy individuals may suffer only short-term symptoms such as high fever, severe headache, stiffness, nausea, abdominal pain, and diarrhea. Listeria monocytogenes infection can also cause miscarriages and stillbirths among pregnant women.

Foster’s does carry Lipton Chicken Noodle Cup a Soup and has affected by this recall. All affected products have been removed from our shelves.

The affected product carries Lot Code Number: L1480 and UPC: 041000014802.

No other Lipton branded products are included within this recall.

Customers should check the UPCs on all Lipton branded products to be sure none of the affected product has been purchased. We encourage all customers who have purchased this product from any of our Foster’s locations to return the affected product for a full refund. Please discontinue use of any affected product
