Jimmy Dean’s Ready to Eat Sausage Links Recall

December 11, 2018 | NOT AFFECTED

Foster’s Food Fair-IGA would like to announce that CTI Foods has issued a voluntary recall on pounds of Jimmy Dean Heat & Serve Sausage Links due to a possible contamination of “extraneous materials, specifically pieces of metal.”

“The frozen, ready-to-eat sausage links items were produced and packaged on Aug. 4, 2018, and was shipped to an establishment in Tennessee where the product was further distributed to retail stores,” according to the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Food and Safety Inspection Service (FSIS).

Foster’s IGA does not carry Jimmy Deans Heat & Serve Sausage Links and not been affected by this recall. The product affected products can be seen here.

No other Jimmy Dean products are included within this recall.

Customers should check the UPC’s on Jimmy Dean branded products in their homes to be sure none of the affected product has been purchased.
